Wallace J. Nelson (Wally) passed away at a hospital in Hilton Head SC from several complications. Wally was a fixture at football & hoops games. He hosted a huge tailgate near lots 2&3 with his red converted EMT vehicle. That vehicle was a fixture at Lane. Wally was an Emory & Henry grad and he grew up in Hampton VA. His father was a Hokie grad & a prominent attorney in Hampton. Despite not being a VT grad, there was not a bigger Hokie supporter & fan living in Blacksburg. Wally was also a very accomplished commercial insurance broker. He leaves behind a lovely wife & 3 adult children. RIP hokiewasp. You will be greatly missed by all that knew you! Go Hokies & Go Wasps!!!
